2K Games to showcase Civilization game for consoles

2K Games has revealed that it's showcasing Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution at E for All Expo this week. This is great news for anyone who's a fan of the legendary game designer's strategy games and wants to play them on consoles rather than on the PC.

Civilization: Revolution won't be out until next year, so it's exciting to see it at E for All this week. Unlike most Civilization games, it's being developed for new consoles and handhelds rather than for the PC. You'll be able to get it for your Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS, Wii or PSP when it's finally out, but in the interim, you can check it out at the show.

Civilization Revolution is a turn-based strategy game, just like the other games that bear the Civilization name. It's your goal to raise a build an empire from scratch, helping your people gather resources, build monuments, wage war against other empires, develop culture, diplomacy and technology, and more. There's a multiplayer mode that will let you compete against other gamers for world conquest, along with a host of ranking, auto-matching, leaderboards and other features that should make online gaming lots of fun.
