What's with all the negativity?

We want to address the negative coverage we've been getting lately from a couple of media outlets.

In the world of gaming events, E For All is the rookie -- though the team running it is made of veterans with twelve years of running E3 under their belts -- and we know that rookies need to be prepared for some hazing. But it seems like certain people are spending way too much time badmouthing us, even to the point of spreading false rumors about our show. The name-calling and rumor-spreading seem like a waste of time to us. E For All may be a rookie, but we're still part of the same team.

Our goal from the start has been to provide gamers of all types with an opportunity to come together, play new games, and support the industry. We're totally committed to making E For All a great show this year, and for years to come. All we're trying to do is provide some fun for gamers, and all we're asking is that people give us the opportunity to do that. We're here to stay, and there's plenty of room for all of us.

We appreciate the support that so many of you have offered, and we look forward to seeing you next month in L.A. 'Nuff said.

I think there is only one thing to do about this, and that's prove them wrong! See you next month

Shuttles are cancelled since not enough people made reservations at the expo hotels.  Hopefully we will be proven wrong and E for All will be a hit otherwise I will just stick to going to Siggraph every summer and spend my money going to Adapt Montreal/GDC SF instead.

Anyone that is holding one of these shows needs to be commended (or committed).  But conflicting with PAX just isn't smart. Then setting a date when coordination with PAX will take place and failing to meet it opens E up for ridicule. Even if E called PAX, they clearly didn't before they announced their next show. PAX has some rapid supporters, as E is finding out.

Never been to PAX, don't like their comic, but their show looks fun.  But E execs saying they didn't know about PAX?  Maybe they need to get on the Internet and use "the google" to see who else is doing what.

I'd go to E if it was closer and cheaper.

Please Please PLEASE, get Sony, Square-Enix, and capcom to come to the show. When I heard they may not attend I felt very disappointed and almost cheated. They are 3 of the biggest reasons I wanted to come to this show (that and Konami but they are going already). If those 3 can't make it, or at the very least SONY doesn't come, I just can't see how it'll be a true video game event. Sony's first party line up is one of the biggest things out there this year. I'd be really disappointed if they didn't show up, Please persuade them to come, do whatever you can just get them to the show!!!!!

I'm hoping to go to this show every year if I enjoy it, so if you get Sony, that will only give me more reason to attend next year as well. PLEASE!!  Thank you.

I have to agree with Deathalo on this on. The fact you can't get either Sony or Square to attend is a cause for concern, especially since they both literally located 5 minutes away from downtown LA on the 405.

In addition, seeing how there are very few 'real' game companies on your exibitors list is also a cause for concern.

Hopefully the show will be able to pull out something special, especially with the death of E3, there's now a void where booth babes and insanity should be.

"Sony's first party line up is one of the biggest things out there this year."

Um, not even...in fact, Sony is WAY behind in the market and (this part's just my opinion) the design. They haven't really released anything GOOD yet. Microsoft and Nintendo are going to put Sony out of buissiness one of these days...

In regards to whether E4 being a success, the fact that the organizers were incapable of attracting all of the biggest names of gaming certainly does not bode well for them. Also, the fact that the majority of games being shown at the show will be titles that are already available for purchase at the time of the event is even more dissuading. Why would someone pay $50-100 to attend an event just to play games that are already out? Half the attraction of E3 was the idea that you would be seeing games that the general public would not have access to for a long time. Where you could see the very early stages of some games, which while not always impressive visually, was quite the thrill, especially if it was for an upcoming release of your favorite series. This event, on the other hand, feels more like I'm walking in to a really big version of a game store, where they have interactive units set up so i can test play the games that are already out, or demo games that will be coming out very soon. *sigh* Now, having said all that, there is ONE factor that will have me attending next week: Nintendo and Super Smash Bros. The new Brawl game has just been delayed until Feb of next year, almost three months later than it was initially scheduled for. This was grave news for the gaming world as a whole, but, as luck would have it, E for All has just confirmed Nintendo will have a playable version of Brawl available at the show. ... well played, E4, well played.

"Sony's first party line up is one of the biggest things out there this year."

Well, in actuality, very few games that come out on Sony machines can truly be considered Sony "first party" games. The majority of titles that are released as Sony exclusives are normally second party or otherwise. In fact, if opinions are to be shared, it might be worth noting that almost every successful "Sony" game that has been released has been made by a company under Sony's influence rather than Sony themselves (ie. Gran Turisumo, the Ratchet & Clank series, etc.). So when you say their "first party line up" I'm assuming you mean, "games that are coming out on Sony machines," correct?

"Microsoft and Nintendo are going to put Sony out of buissiness one of these days..."

Alright, while I agree that the line up Sony has planned is hardly stellar (actually, none of them so far, or up coming any time soon, seem to be worthy of the title "Triple A plus" yet), claiming that one of the biggest electronics makers/film studios/music labels on the planet are in danger of going out of business simply because one branch of their company is struggling hardly makes any sense. I'm going to jot this comment down as blatant fan-tard-ism.
