Metal Gear Solid 4 ships over 3 million on PlayStation 3
| August 05 2008Konami today announced that Metal Gear Solid 4 shipped more than 3 million copies worldwide in less than two weeks.
When including sales of both Metal Gear Online (PS3) and Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection (PS2) into the mix for the quarter ending June 30, Konami announced total franchise shipments of 3.94 million.
And while sales of Metal Gear Solid 4 have tapered to more normal levels since its June 12 release, its likely the game will reach 4 million shipped in the coming weeks, thanks to continued strong sales the PS3 bundle at retailers.
