How do you define "Gamer?"
I've noticed how broad of a spectrum gamers hold, and just how diverse the members of our culture are. I'm not really sure how many people check this community, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
How do you define "gamer" and the "gaming culture," and how do you see yourself fitting into it?
Input please!

When you hear the word "gamer" most people automatically think unsocial geeks.
When I hear "gamer" I think of my friends and groups of people who appreciate the art that is games. Games, just like any other hobbie, takes time and money. Just like those people who collect dolls, stamps or figures. It is just another form of collecting only this hobbie has a large variety and excersises the mind.
"Gaming culture" like any other culture has its pros and cons. I think one of the pros is that you can connect with anyone around the world and play a game, other than a friend coming over. In this way you have different levels of challenge so the game never gets old.
I am not an agressive gamer. I like playing strategy, puzzle and party games. I play from PC to console to hand-held. Gaming has become an important part of my life. I like playing alone, sometimes I like playing with a group of people. I have also made a few friends online. I think gaming culture is just another way of having people with the same intrests together.
